摘　要：

俗文学的基本特征是语言的通俗性。确定俗文学研究的对象和范围应该具有辩证眼光。广义的俗文学和狭义的俗文学两个概念可以并存。俗文学研究是符合国际学术潮流的具有巨大潜力的研究方向。文献基础和理论方法是决定俗文学研究水平的两个重要因素。陈寅恪《论〈再生缘〉》是俗文学研究的楷模。全国古籍普查和海外汉籍调查为搜集俗文学文献、推进俗文学研究提供了难得的机遇。

 

A Review and Prospect of the Last Century Study on Popular Literature

Abstract The main characteristic of popular literature lies in its popularity of language.The object and scope of study in popular literature should be defined from a dialectic and developmental perspective. The general and narrow conceptions of popular literature can coexist with each other. The study of popular literature is in accord with international academic trend and possesses a great potential. An extensive knowledge of literature and a grasp of theoretical methods are two significant factors that determine the level of study. On Zai Sheng Yuan written by Chen Yinke is a masterpiece in the study of popular literature. A nationwide survey of ancient books in China and an investigation of ancient Chinese books scattered overseas provide a rare opportunity for scholars to collect materials and promote the study of popular literature.
