摘　要：

西方社会的都市性蕴藏着压迫与解放的辩证法。在西方资本主义的都市社会阶段，都市社会的空间生产形式包括城市规划、消费主义的意识形态以及日常生活，它们共 同生产了都市性，即都市的集中性、扩张性和差异性。都市的集中性剥夺了居民的生活权 利，扩张性造成了居民生活主体性的丧失，差异性导致了居民的生活异化。都市的压迫与解 放是一对对立统一的矛盾。都市居民凭借都市革命一定程度上实现了生活方式的解放：实 现诗意的栖居和进入城市的权利；揭露和反抗消费主义意识形态；提出对日常生活异化的“自否定”——自我否定对异化的日常生活的认同，重新发现日常生活的鲜活性和创造性。西方都市社会的空间生产创造了一种高度发达的都市性文明，也给都市居民带来了压迫和 剥削。当代中国应该坚持走中国特色社会主义都市文明道路，创造人类都市文明新形态。

 

Urbanity of Western Society and Its Implications

Abstract The urbanity of Western society contains the dialectics of oppression and liberation. At the urban society stage of Western capitalism, the forms of space production in urban society include urban planning, consumerist ideology, and everyday life, which jointly produce urbanity, namely, concentricity, expansionarity, and inhomogeneity of cosmopolitans. Urban concentricity has deprived urban residents of their rights to life, urban expansionarity has caused the loss of the subjectivity of urban residents' lives, and urban inhomogeneity has led to the alienation of urban residents' lives. The oppression and liberation that have occurred in the city are a contradiction characteristic with unity of opposites. Urban residents rely on the urban revolution to achieve the liberation of their lifestyles to a certain extent so as to realize "poetic residence" and "the right to the city", expose and resist consumerist ideology, propose the "self-denial" of the alienation of everyday life——self-denial identification with alienated everyday life, and rediscover the vitality or creativity of everyday life. The space production of western urban society has created a highly developed urbanity civilization, and also brought oppression and exploitation to urban residents. Therefore, it is important for contemporary China to stick to the path of socialist urban civilization with Chinese characteristics and create  a new form of human urban civilization.
